Open Message Partnership Programme
New messaging services for new revenues!
The Open Message Partnership Programme (OMPP) is an initiative by Openmind Networks to create
an open and extensible application development environment for independent software vendors that
have the ability to build innovative messaging applications for mobile operators worldwide.
Mobile operators are constantly on the look out for new revenue generating messaging services and
today’s mobile operator systems lack open integration to enable 3rd parties to build these services.
Openmind Networks is promoting an open extensible platform to allow new messaging services generate
new revenues for mobile operators.
To assist the mobile operators in their quest for new applications Openmind Networks has published
for general release, the Adapt interface which is part of the Adapt module, an optional extension
to Traffic Control, the company’s multi-protocol message router.
Adapt is an open interface that enables independent software vendors to build and deploy messaging
services for mobile operator networks at internet speeds.
The Adapt interface is delivered as a set of Java JAR files which contains the class files and
auxiliary resources associated with the applets and applications. The core Adapt APIs are bundled
into one package and application developers will code against these platform-independent core APIs.
