Openmind Networks enters into the ranks of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2014

Openmind attributes its growth to continued product and market innovation

?Dublin, Ireland, 11th November 2014 — Openmind Networks (www.openmindnetworks.com) today announced that it edged into the ranks in the 2014 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Ireland. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years.

Openmind’s CEO, Alex Duncan, credits the company’s growth with continued product and market innovation of its Telecoms business and in particular its flagship product Traffic Control. He said, “We are delighted to have entered Deloitte’s Top 50 listing.  Recent years has seen Openmind expand its market footprint with strong international growth in the Asian market as well as strengthening our presence in Europe.  These sales are achieved on the back of a focused innovation programme for our Traffic Control platform together with market innovation.  We look forward to increasing our position in 2015.”

The Fast 50 programme, now in its fifteenth year in Ireland, ranks the fastest growing technology companies in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This year, there are 13 companies from Northern Ireland in the ranking. The average growth rate of the Fast 50 companies named in this year’s ranking is 276%.

Announcing the winners of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme, Richard Howard, Partner with Deloitte, Dublin said: “I am continually enthused by the hunger, drive and capacity to innovate that the winning companies, as demonstrated by the close competition in this year’s ranking. The Fast 50 awards really do demonstrate the very best of this important sector, and we are delighted to be able to recognise them with these awards.”

The Deloitte Technology Industry Awards took place in Dublin on 7 November 2014. Keynote speakers on the night included Eric Openshaw, Deloitte Global Sector Leader for Technology and Chris Watt, Partner, ECI VC. Media sponsors included the Sunday Business Post and Ulster Business.

To enter the Fast 50 Awards, companies must meet the criteria listed below.

Entry Criteria:

Entrants must have been operating for a minimum of five years, with a turnover of at least €50,000 for 2009.

Entrants can be public or private companies but the parent company must be headquartered in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. Subsidiaries or divisions do not qualify.

Each entrant must be a technology company defined as producing technology; manufacturing technology-related products; being technologically intensive or using technology in problem-solving; or devoting a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology
