Senior Operations Engineer
The Position
The Senior Operations Engineer is a member of the Deployment and Suport Operations reporting to the manager of Operations. The Operations team is responsible for the deployment and support of the company’s products which are in service on customer premises. This role will require full flexibility on travel.
The ideal candidate will be from a telecoms background (preferably mobile), with at least 3 years experience working on UNIX operating systems. Experience in messaging protocols such as GSM SMS, SS7, SMPP, UCP, MMS, SMTP, IMS and IM would be a distinct advantage.
The position is available immediately and the location is in the company’s Head Office in Pearse Street, Dublin
Key Responsibilities
- On-site product installation, including commissioning of Linux servers, ip switches & routers, SS7 signaling gateways etc.
- On-site customer acceptance testing
- Unix scripting, configuration skills – installation of new releases, patches etc.
- Liaising with senior customer personnel
- Training the customer on our product and how to administer it
- Analysing customer data
- Working closely with partners and 3rd party suppliers when applicable
- Problem capture, tracking, resolution and reporting
- Sharing out of hours support rota for live customer deployments
- Represent the company in a professional manner when dealing with customers and other 3rd parties.
Requirements
- Engineering or Computer Science degree
- 3+ years Telecoms experience
- Excellent communication skills and professional manner
- Proven track record in product deployment
- Good knowledge of SS7
- Have a strong understanding and appreciation of telecom operator needs
- Take initiative for improving the quality of processes and systems; be forward thinking identifying business risks and escalating issues where necessary
- Experience in UNIX operating system administration is required
- Knowledge of some of the following would be a distinct advantage: Cisco ITPs, SIGTRAN SUA, M3UA.
Senior Test Engineer
Role
The Senior Test Engineer is a member of the Quality Assurance team reporting to the VP of Engineering. The Quality Assurance team is a key component of the company's production processes by independently validating the output from development in an automated and repeatable fashion. Openmind Networks' software development lifecycle operates on an Agile Development model where internal releases are many and often, where creating and extending the automated test suite is an every day task. The position also calls for a customer-facing role, for example occasional on-site visits to customers to gain acceptance of new product offerings.
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years experience in software testing in a telecom environment, in particular mobile messaging. Experience in messaging protocols such as GSM SMS, MMS, SMPP, UCP, SMTP, SS7, IMS and IM would be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and perform automated product testing in line with the company’s Agile Development methodology and project timelines
- Report any defects found and chase their resolution in accordance with priority
- Add to automated test suite for regression testing
- Produce associated QA documentation such as Customer Release Notes for all project deliverables and customer patches
- Participate in the development of testing strategy; ownership and responsibility for evolution of the test environment
- Have a strong understanding and appreciation of software test tools and processes
- Take initiative for improving the quality of products, processes and systems; be forward thinking identifying business risks and escalating issues where necessary
- Represent the company in a professional manner when participating in meetings, conference calls or standards forums with customers, partners or other industry participants.
Requirements
- Engineering or Computer Science degree
- 3+ years post-graduate experience as a Test Engineer
- Experience in telecommunications sector
- Strong understanding of software test methodology and lifecycle
- Experience writing test plans, test suites and test procedures and implementing automated testing
- Experience designing and developing test tools using a scripting approach
- Experience in testing on a UNIX platform is required
- Knowledge of some of the following would be a distinct advantage: Python, Perl, shell scripting, C
- Experience in testing telecoms protocols is an advantage
Senior Software Engineers in Dublin and Prague

Senior Sales Executives in North America / Asia / Europe
Role

Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration/Marketing/Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 10 years of working experience, with 5 years doing software sales or services sales in the mobile operator markets
- Those with proven track record of sales success with VAS and/or IN products preferred
- Strong business acumen and able to engage and present at the senior level
- Excellent communication skills
