October is one of the busiest months of the year in the messaging calendar, and this year Openmind Networks will be at three of its most important gatherings.
These events take us from London to Dublin and back again. Across all three, we’ll talk about the issues shaping operator strategy right now: moving messaging to the cloud, monetising A2P traffic, the rise of RCS, and the ongoing fight against fraud.
Here’s where you’ll find us and who you’ll meet.
Capacity Europe & GLF: London, 13–15 October
InterContinental London – The O2
We start the month at Capacity Europe, where carriers, operators and wholesale providers meet to shape the future of global connectivity. Our CRO Paul Kavanagh and Chief Sales Officer Kristian Nylund will attend both Capacity Europe and the GLF events that run alongside it.
Messaging infrastructure is changing quickly. Operators are moving core platforms to the cloud, preparing for RCS at scale, and looking at how emerging standards such as MCP will change the way networks and AI-driven services connect. Paul and Kristian would welcome the chance to talk through these shifts with clients and operators, and to explain how Openmind is helping operators modernise without disrupting the revenue their messaging networks already generate.
Want to meet in London? Contact us to book time with Paul or Kristian during the week.
WAS#24: Dublin, 19–22 October
Aviva Stadium, Dublin | Stand #9
Next, we come home. WAS#24 brings more than 1,000 delegates from across the messaging ecosystem to Dublin, and Openmind will be at Stand #9 all week.
Our team on the ground:
- Jentje Umpleby, VP Sales Europe
- Jan Grootjes, VP Sales Middle East
- Vincent Bissett, Head of Presales
- Paul Kavanagh, CRO
- Kristian Nylund, CSO
We’ll focus on three themes:
- A2P monetisation: helping operators capture the value of the business messaging that crosses their networks
- RCS for Business: turning rich, branded messaging into real revenue for operators and enterprises using RCS MaaP Hub
- Revenue assurance: finding and stopping the leakage that quietly erodes margin
Before the show, try our Revenue Leakage Calculator to estimate what leakage could be costing your network, and bring the results to the stand for a deeper conversation on the specifics of your jurisdiction.
Since we’re hosting in Dublin, we’re also giving guests a proper taste of the city:
- Monday evening (5pm–9pm): A Viking Splash amphibious tour of the city, a visit to the world famous Jameson Distillery, then dinner in Georgian Dublin’s best restaurant followed by live traditional Irish music.
- Wednesday morning (7:30am–9:30am): Breakfast at The Merrion Hotel with a keynote from our CEO Alex Duncan on industry trends in fraud prevention, followed by a complimentary transfer to the WAS venue.
Free tickets for both events are strictly limited and by registration only via marketing@openmindnetworks.com
MEF Connects Anti-Fraud Forum: London, 28 October
30 Euston Square, London
We finish the month back in London at the MEF Connects Anti-Fraud Forum. The event stands out because it brings together telecoms ecosystem partners, regulators and law enforcement, including Europol and Ofcom. Those groups rarely share a room, and all of them are needed to tackle messaging fraud effectively.
Our Head of Customer Analytics and AI, Valentina Novara, will speak at the forum on the latest trends in fraud prevention across messaging networks. She’ll draw on what Openmind sees across operator networks every day: how fraud patterns are changing, where attackers are moving next, and what operators can do to stay ahead of them.
If fraud prevention is on your agenda, this is a session worth attending.
Let’s meet
Whether it’s a coffee in London, a conversation at Stand #9 in Dublin, or a chat after Valentina’s session, we’d love to see you this October. Get in touch to arrange a meeting again via marketing@openmindnetworks.com, and follow Openmind Networks on LinkedIn for updates from each event.
