What you will be doing as a Commercial Manager

As the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation of risk management and legal compliance across our new and existing client contracts. You will be providing commercial guidance across the organisation to make sure that all teams are fully aware of the financial implications of the contracts and making sure that we are adhering to the terms and conditions of each contract for it to be fully profitable to the business.

What you will be responsible For

  • As the Commercial Manager with Openmind Networks, you will be responsible for developing the commercial risk management and controls systems in the business. You will be responsible for putting in place the processes to ensure that such commercial risks are managed effectively and implementing best practices, commercially across the business.
  • You will be chairing the weekly commercial Bid Review Meeting and advising the Bid Board on commercial, invoicing milestones, and commercial risks for new orders.
  • The Commercial Manager will be responsible for reviewing profit summaries and advising Sales Directors how the deal should be structured to meet our long-term strategy. Also working closely with the CCO, COO, and other stakeholders to discuss imminent orders to maximise revenue.
  • You will be reviewing all Commercial Contracts for nonstandard terms and conditions and working with the CCO to negotiate nonacceptable commercial terms in the contract.


  • You have proven experience in the Risk Management area within the Software or Telecoms area.
  • You are a passionate and positive person, who loves to take accountability and pride in your work.
  • Customer focus and ability to work cross-functionally in a strong team environment are areas of strength for you and you are continuously looking to develop yourself.
