Company scoops honour in Deloitte Best Managed Companies Award Programme
Dublin, Ireland – Tuesday 8th March, 2016: For the second consecutive year, leading mobile communications platform vendor Openmind Networks has been named as one of Ireland’s ‘Best Managed’ companies in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme. The company was recognised at an awards gala dinner in Dublin on 4th March 2016, attended by over 800 people from the Irish business community.
The Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards Programme, in association with Barclays Bank Ireland, recognises indigenous Irish companies across Ireland which are operating at the highest levels of business performance. Following a comprehensive review process that considers a business’ performance from every perspective, Openmind Networks re-qualified for the award having upheld the standard of a Deloitte Best Managed Company.
Openmind received the award for the first time in 2015 in recognition of its superior business performance and strategic direction. In the past year, the company has demonstrated significant growth and currently holds a customer base of over 50 telecoms companies worldwide. Last month, the company announced a new partnership with Tier 1 Belgian operator Proximus, to replace its legacy SMSC and SMS firewall with Openmind’s virtualised environment.
“Being named a Best Managed Company for the second year running cements our significant growth in the market,” said Openmind CEO, Alex Duncan. “2016 has been an exceptionally strong year for us, despite market challenges, and we are continuously growing and improving out offering. Our “Best Managed” status allows us to shine a spotlight on our customers’ needs and to find new ways of serving those needs to the best of our abilities. We look forward to continuing our drive for innovation and demonstrating further traction among our global customer base.”
Openmind Networks has joined the ranks of a network of 115 Deloitte Best Managed Companies which employs over 47,000 people around the country and has a combined turnover of almost €10bn. Recognising the importance of overseas markets for Irish companies, the Best Managed Companies also recorded an average growth in export sales of 161% over the last three years.
