Pride Month is a global celebration of visibility, progress, and solidarity for the LGBTQIA+ community and at Openmind Networks, those values resonate deeply with the way we build technology and culture.

In this blog post, Kellie Fagan, People Operations Coordinator at Openmind Networks, takes us through strategies and initiatives being led by her team to support this work.

Diversity isn’t a seasonal campaign; it’s at the heart of every message we route, every feature we ship, and every colleague we champion.

Below, we’d like to share the concrete steps we’re taking to foster inclusion in 2025 – and how they reflect our five core values: Own It, Care for It, Live It, Master It, and Evolve It.

Core ValueWhat It MeansHow We’re Living It in 2025
Own It
Accountability & Pride
We take responsibility for creating a fair workplace. All hiring managers have completed unconscious-bias training, ensuring every candidate is assessed on merit.
Care for It
Consideration & Support
We look out for one another, inside and outside the office. Our “Openmind Together” programme offers confidential peer support and resources for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies.
Live It
Passion & Positivity
We celebrate the rich mix of identities that power our innovation.Throughout the year we’ll host Health and Mental Health  awareness and support training talks, and cultural Lunch-and-Learns.
Master It
Expertise & Problem Solving
We keep sharpening our skills—technical and interpersonal.Managers are rolling out an Inclusive Leadership module that equips teams to spot bias and champion equity in day-to-day decisions.
Evolve It
Leadership & Growth
We grow future leaders who reflect the world we serve.Mentoring circles and development workshops give under-represented talent clearer paths to leadership roles.

Spearheaded by our People Team, Openmind Together weaves inclusion into the fabric of company life.

Purpose

A company-wide programme that turns our commitment to diversity and inclusion (D&I) into everyday action, helping every colleague feel valued and empowered.

What Sparked It

Employee feedback asking for more chances to learn about D&I, connect across backgrounds, and give back to the wider community.

Core Goals

  1. Raise awareness – training on unconscious bias, micro-aggressions, disability inclusion, LGBTQ+ topics, and inclusive leadership.
  2. Foster belonging – safe-space discussions and social events that celebrate our differences.
  3. Drive change – empower employees to champion equity inside Openmind and in society.

Key Components

  • Training & development: interactive workshops and webinars throughout the year.
  • Community & volunteering: diversity-focused social events plus partnerships with local organisations for hands-on service.

Innovation thrives when people feel free to bring their authentic selves to work. By championing LGBTQIA+ inclusion:

  • We spark creativity—diverse teams generate broader perspectives and better solutions.
  • We serve customers better—our platforms connect billions of people whose identities are just as varied as our workforce.
  • We model accountability—living our values publicly sets a benchmark for partners, suppliers, and the wider tech community.

Pride Month may be just 30 days on the calendar, but inclusion is a 365-day commitment. As we celebrate Pride – marching in Dublin, joining virtual panels, and sharing stories – remember that progress happens conversation by conversation, line by line of code, and policy by policy.

To our LGBTQIA+ colleagues: your courage, expertise, and leadership shape Openmind Networks every single day.
To our allies: keep listening, learning, and advocating.
To everyone reading: we invite you to hold us accountable and join us on the journey.

Together, we Own It, Care for It, Live It, Master It, and Evolve It – building networks as inclusive as the world we want to connect.
