Q: Can you describe your role at Openmind Networks?
I’m a Pre-Sales Engineer at Openmind Networks, and my main role is to support the Sales Team in closing deals. A typical day usually starts with a team catch-up. Sometimes these catch-ups are more technical, involving meetings with the Engineering team, and other times they’re just within the Pre-Sales team, where we discuss how to handle certain situations from our perspective.
After that, most of my time is spent on client work. About 30% is dedicated to client meetings, and the remaining 70% is focused on Pre-Sales documentation, like responding to RFPs, which is a standard process for companies purchasing large software products, such as the ones Openmind Networks provides to telecom operators.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your role?
The Pre-Sales role at Openmind Networks is the perfect blend of Sales and Technical. What makes it unique is that we sell to CTOs as well as to Engineers, so you need a deep technical understanding of the product. You’ll have customer calls where you support the Sales Team with technical knowledge, but you also need to understand the product’s technical background. The balance is the best of both worlds for me, and it’s what makes this role so enjoyable.

Q: What do you enjoy most about Openmind Networks?
What I enjoy most about working at Openmind Networks is the culture. There are two things I really appreciate: trust and support. When we trust each other, I know I can do my job, and I can bring up any issues or give feedback without worrying about it being taken the wrong way. Trust helps avoid toxic behaviors like micromanagement, which I personally find stressful.
The other thing is support. Whenever I have an issue, there’s always someone to help – whether it’s a quick message in a group chat, or a more detailed meeting, there is always support available.
Q: What is your favorite Openmind Networks ‘Core Value’ and why?
My favorite core value is “Live It”. I believe in spreading positivity across the team, not just in specific situations with coworkers or customers but in the day-to-day. If you really live your work and your team, it creates a positive environment. Everyone at Openmind Networks lives this value, and it helps foster a great working environment.
Q: What makes Openmind Networks a Great Place to Work?
It’s definitely the culture. We’ve talked about trust, support, and our core values, like “Live It”. But I think the most important thing is the people. Everyone here is so nice, and the company is truly open-minded. I’m a foreigner, and this was my first job in Ireland. The fact that the company trusted me, even though I had just arrived in the country, says a lot about the culture here.
Q: What are people missing by not working at Openmind Networks?
If you want to learn, come to Openmind Networks. It’s a great place to grow professionally, not just because there’s so much to learn, but because it’s okay to make mistakes here. Not every company gives you the space to do things wrong without getting criticized. Instead, at Openmind Networks, the attitude is, “okay, you made a mistake. What can we learn from it?” It’s the perfect combination of learning and being allowed to grow.
