For more than twenty years, Openmind Networks has spearheaded innovation within the messaging industry, driving conversations and shaping the future of communication. We are thrilled to once again participate in the Wholesale Agreements and Solutions Group (WAS)’s flagship event, to be held on this occasion in Dubai, UAE. Our team of messaging experts will be on the ground throughout the week, ready to delve into pivotal industry themes including RCS, core messaging, messaging fraud prevention, revenue assurance, and much more.

Core Messaging & Network Evolution

Operators are modernizing fast, driven by cloud adoption, 5G core rollouts, higher A2P volumes, and tougher fraud pressures. Openmind Networks helps MNOs streamline core messaging with cloud-native, modular architectures – lifting resiliency, observability, and TCO while keeping interop with legacy SMS/MMS intact.

Whether you’re consolidating SMSC/MMSC, virtualizing for multi-cloud, or preparing for 5G messaging and API exposure, we deliver blueprints and platforms that harden availability, simplify lifecycle ops, and accelerate roadmap delivery. Recent Tier-1 programs underline the industry’s move to cloud-native messaging at scale, making proactive capacity management and zero-downtime upgrades table stakes.

RCS & Rich Business Messaging

RCS finally hit mainstream in late 2024 with iOS 18 support, unlocking cross-platform rich messaging (high-res media, typing indicators, read receipts) between iPhone and Android – and catalyzing enterprise interest in rich business messaging. In 2024-2025, brands ramped trials and seasonal campaigns, and global traffic lifted materially as Apple’s adoption removed a key barrier.

Openmind Networks guides operators through the commercial and technical transition: readiness assessments, RCS for Business onboarding, partner ecosystem alignment, fallback logic, analytics, and fraud controls. We focus on monetizable use cases (promos, guided sales, support, and verified notifications) and on pragmatic privacy/security – tracking the GSMA’s work on standardizing interoperable E2EE for RCS so operators can plan with confidence.

Revenue Assurance & Monetization Strategies

A2P revenue leakage is evolving, not easing. Beyond SIM gateways and grey routes, operators are wrestling with AIT, misuse of test routes, and the rise of flash-call/voice-based verification that can bypass SMS economics if left unmanaged.

Openmind Networks’ revenue assurance and firewalling help operators detect and deter abuse in real-time, price intelligently across channels, and preserve trust without adding friction for legitimate traffic. Our approach combines signaling-layer controls, behavioral analytics, and policy automation to block fraud patterns (including newly documented “message trashing”), while enabling smarter routing and enterprise transparency. The result: healthier yields on verified A2P/RBM and a sustainable mix across SMS, RCS, and voice verification.
